  Reasons why I wouldn't get a KM while I was still a dub??

  i never got my km.not when i was a unbaptized publisher ,not after i got baptized.i always wondered why.the rest of my family got theirs but not me.someone would usually hand me one durring the service meeting but i never got one from my bookstudy conductor.. could it be the i rarely went to the book study?

  ?could it be that i never went in service??

  i counted a few hours every month but i never met with the group.. .

  for instance, i still can't bring myself to say 'bless you' when someone sneezes.

  i still cringe when saying 'good luck' and even now i feel i am being really naughty when shopping for a birthday card for someone.

  Hi,

  I am familar with all the ya d da's of saying "God Bless You" or "Bless You". I also feel that there is nothing wrong, I was taught that it was just common curtosy to say it. I do have a question though, I've also learned that JW's do not say "Good Luck". I did notice that was mentioned on this thread, but for what reason is that on the list of cannot do/say? I always did wonder why when I told someone good luck on the test, they looked at me like I said something wrong. I'd like to know the reason of this. Thanks!

  I got that dreaded call....

  my ex sister in law called me this morning to tell me that bother had shot himself.. he was raised a witness but stopped going at 18. he was my favorite brother always level headed and smart.. except lately.

  apparently he has been robbing banks in ca this summer.

  he led the police on a freeway chase and decided to shot himself instead of go to jail.. now i am wondering how well i know anyone at all anymore.. .

  Wow, I think this is the one that happened in Lauguna Beach/ Mission Viejo area. The freeway offramps were closed for a bit. The story ties in man robbing banks shoots himself after a police chase. Gosh, I am so sorry for your loss.
  
  Someone posted after you and said something like they hope they don't use him as a poster child as an example for what happens when you leave the truth... they should do one that shows what happens when you are in 'the truth"

  seen that years ago, but I still enjoy it. Someone stated that's only partcially correct. That is true, you have to know how to read and know the english language to read that. If you have a problem with words or letters it will look more messed up. lol

  i've noticed a disturbing trend where 90% of guys don't wash their hands after using the restroom, and probably 25% don't even after number two'ing.

  encouragingly, about 80% of the guys in law school do wash their hands.

  (i know it's weird, but i count) .

  Let's not just pick on the guys. An article I read several years ago stated that studies (yea, they actually studied this subject) showed women were as serious offenders as men.

  Oh that is so true. I know for a fact. I've seen women do that too so I'm not going to defend anyone but myself on that one. I know what I do, I wash my hands use hot water and soap and paper towels when I leave. It's amazing how many people think that they can get away with no one seeing them. Hello, it is obvious when they walk out of the stall fix their hair and leave.

  That's a completely accultured statement... that has no basis in reality.

  Sure it does. "In reality" I know I don't want to be sitting on a toliet(without a wall) next to a lady doing the exact same thing. They could have done the same thing for a mans restroom.. Not talking about the toilets they use to #2 in. lol I mean the ones they stand in. Also, another thing, why are the toilets right at the door or adjacent to a mirror so when the door is open you can see all that is going on inside the restroom. icky.

  I'm generally quiet in person, shy outgoing until I get used to people.

  On message boards I still am the same person, but I can be myself and silly 100x's faster. :-)

  I try to read through most of the posts before posting, but sometimes it is just too much. lol

  Unless I missed it...what about the guys that said "oh, I didn't touch anything...I just unziped my pants and let it do the rest"

  I don't think I even want to know. lol
